Blizzard will take the Overwatch 2 servers offline once more to address more of the issues that have arisen since the game’s rocky launch.

The game will be turned off around 9 p.m. ET (6 p.m. PT) and will be unavailable for an hour. This is the third downtime in two days, after Blizzard had to take the game offline twice on Thursday.

In a post on its forums, Blizzard detailed the fixes in the works as well as some updates on a few of the larger issues.

Blizzard plans to fix Watchpoint Packs not appearing as available for players who preordered them during Friday evening’s downtime, as well as the LC-208 error that is preventing some players from logging in.

Blizzard confirmed in a post on Friday that the change to SMS Protect phone number requirements is now officially in effect.

To be able to play Overwatch 2, players had to have a postpaid phone number registered to their accounts.

However, in response to player outrage, Blizzard announced that it would relax the policy so that people who had previously played Overwatch with a linked Battle.net account would no longer need to register a phone number to play the sequel.
